Helping Keep the District Clean
The White Plains Road BID considers street cleaning one of its most important responsibilities as the overall appearance of the area makes a lasting first impression.
How we’ve helped improve conditions
With help from generous donors, we have provided an abundance of garbage pails to the district
The BID provides a uniformed street cleaner who sweeps the sidewalks and curbs twice per day and regularly empties the garbage pails
We are working closely with NYPD 49th Precinct, CB 11 and various community groups to rid the area of graffiti
Beautifcation
We’re transforming our corridor block by block —through cleaner streets, vibrant storefronts, and green enhancements like tree pit gardens and public art. A more beautiful district means a more welcoming, walkable, and connected community.
Small Business Support & Outreach
We’re building stronger businesses by meeting merchants where they are—offering hands-on support, promotional campaigns, and direct outreach to help local entrepreneurs thrive in today’s economy.
Placemaking & Community Events
From outdoor movie nights to cultural festivals, we’re turning public spaces into gathering places. Our events create moments of joy, bring neighbors together, and put our district’s identity on full display.
